Delete my account

You can delete your Hingtam account and your data at any time. Here is how.

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open Hingtam and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Delete Account and confirm.
  3. That is it. Your profile, photos, interests, prompt answers, likes, matches, blocks, reports and messages (including images you sent) are erased straight away.
Paid plan?

Cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription with the store.

If you cannot open the app

  1. Email support@hingtam.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account".
  2. We will reply to confirm it is you, then delete your account and tell you when it is done. We aim to finish within 30 days.

Good to know

  • Deleting is permanent. We cannot bring an account back.
  • It also removes your conversations from the other person's side.
  • If your account was banned, we keep only a scrambled, one-way fingerprint of its email address, so it cannot be used to sign up again. Nothing else is kept.
  • Short-term technical backups at our hosting provider drop out as they rotate, normally within 30 days.
